For over two decades, the Bronx Letters Foundation has nurtured Bronx Academy of Letters' students' success through our annual "Food for Thought" fundraising event. This year, we bring our benefit home to you.
The Bronx Letters Foundation serves the Bronx Academy of Letters (BAL), a public Urban Assembly school in Mott Haven, where almost half of our students live below the poverty line and nearly all would be first-generation college students. Our mission is to equip these promising students and their dedicated teachers with the tools, opportunities, and resources they need to unlock their full potential. Operating entirely on grants and donations, we support vital programs including college access initiatives, funding Teachers in Residences programs, classroom technology needs, community outreach, and after school programs.
We are a dedicated team of volunteers who have no affiliation with the school, with just one part-time staff member, we maximize our budget to directly benefit our students, with every dollar carefully allocated to enrich their educational experience. We believe in the power of our students to change the world, and we're committed to breaking down barriers that stand between them and their dreams. Each investment in our community creates ripples of positive change that extend far beyond our school walls.
We thank you for your support in enhancing the lives of our students and helping to establish a successful future.
